The 2.75" TRD TubeZ from Z-Man is a modern take on a classic tube, specially designed for finesse fishing for perch and zander. It combines the tried-and-tested hollow tube profile with a pronounced head and the unique properties of the buoyant ElaZtech material. As a result, the lure stands upright on the bottom in a tempting manner, whilst its delicate tentacles move lifelike at the slightest movement – an irresistible presentation that tempts even the most wary predators to bite.

Mount the lure onto a classic tube jig head, which disappears inside the hollow body. With short, aggressive twitches, the lure shoots uncontrollably through the water, whilst during pauses it sinks in a seductive, wobbling motion – ideal for actively searching for fish.

Combined with a light Ned jig (e.g. Finesse ShroomZ™), the TRD TubeZ becomes an irresistible treat. Simply drag it along the bottom, let it rest, or animate it with subtle tugs. The lure repeatedly rights itself, tempting even the most passive predators to bite.

The TubeZ also demonstrates one of its strengths on delicate rigs. On a dropshot rig, it entices fish with minimal movements whilst stationary, whilst on a Carolina or split-shot rig it hovers almost weightlessly over the bottom.

The lure was primarily developed for finesse fishing for perch, black bass and zander. However, thanks to its small size and lively action, it is also an excellent choice for large trout and chub in rivers.

Which colour should I choose for my waters?
For clear water and wary fish, natural colours such as ‘Green Pumpkin’ and ‘Canada Craw’ are almost always a safe bet, as they perfectly mimic crayfish and gobies. In murkier water or when perch are aggressive, colours with more contrast such as ‘PB&J’ or ‘The Deal’ can make all the difference.

Can I fish the TRD TubeZ on other rigs as well?
Absolutely! Although it’s optimised for the Ned Rig, it also works brilliantly on a drop-shot rig, split-shot rig or a small Texas rig to guide it through the cover without snagging on weeds.
