The Laydown Minnow Regular from Nories is an excellent twitch bait that can be used very flexibly to tempt even the most suspicious predators to bite. Its special feature is its weight distribution, which gives it enormous stability and unique action. While it breaks out extremely aggressively to the side with short, hard strikes, it remains perfectly in place during pauses, wiggling slightly with its body. It is precisely this combination of aggressive action and enticing rest periods that makes it irresistible prey for perch and pike. However, it is also particularly effective when simply reeled in slowly – an absolutely fantastic wobbler for zander at night.

    With short, quick strokes of the rod tip, the lure shoots uncontrollably and aggressively from left to right. This panicked escape movement awakens the hunting instinct even in fish that are not actively searching for food and provokes fierce attacks.

    Work the lure with 1-3 short, powerful strokes of the wrist, then pause for 2-4 seconds. Most bites come at the exact moment when the lure is stationary!
     
  • Slow reeling
    Reel in the lure very slowly and monotonously. Its slight flanking action creates enough stimulation to attract nocturnal zander without scaring them away. This simple technique is often the most successful method in the dark.
     
  • Stop-and-go
    Combine a few quick turns of the reel with a sudden stop. The lure swims naturally at first and then stops abruptly. This unpredictable action can surprise even experienced predators and tempt them to bite.

  2. Can I replace the treble hooks, for example with single hooks?
    Yes, this is possible and often advisable in order to protect the fish. But be careful: the Laydown Minnow is a perfectly balanced suspender! Only replace the treble hooks with hooks of the same or very similar weight. Any greater deviation can alter its ingenious floating behavior and cause it to sink or rise slowly.
     
  3. Why is this lure so good for heavily fished waters?
    The Laydown Minnow is a “silent” lure, meaning it has no rattles. In heavily fished waters, fish are familiar with the sounds of conventional wobblers and avoid them. The silent presentation combined with the unpredictable action makes even experienced and suspicious predators strike unsuspectingly.

Versprochen und gehalten!

Die Produktbeschreibung ist gut gelungen. Ich habe den Minnow nun ausgiebig auf Barsch gefischt. Er hat wirklich tolle Laufeigenschaften und zeigt sein ganzes Können beim Twitchen! Versetzt man ihm Schläge, so bricht er aus und lässt dann und wann die Seite aufblitzen. Der Minnow bleibt dabei aber auf Spur und zeigt kein irrationales Laufverhalten. Alles sehr natürlich gehalten. Der Köder ist durchaus im höheren Preissegment, aber wohl dennoch sein Geld wert. Ich habe jedenfalls damit mein Barsch-PB neugesetzt und auch Hechte mochten diesen kleinen Kerl ausgesprochen gerne.
