Zander can be caught amazingly well with spinnerbaits. The trick here is to fish the lure close to the bottom. To do this, the spinnerbait is fished slowly, just above the bottom, similar to vertical fishing. Now and then you can let the bait break out by slightly accelerating it, thus tempting indecisive zander to grab it. Depending on the water depth, rather heavy spinnerbaits from 14g upwards are suitable for this fishing. In shallow, muddy waters, such as polders and in the dark, you will of course fish lighter models.
